I have for years been leading the council of Norwegian National costume in Noregs Ungdomslag, organized study tours in the subject to various destinations and both organized and leading a numerous workshops and seminars in crafts and costume history. In 2009 she released the book “Hodeplagg – mer enn noe på hodet”
In addition to crafts, Steffenach has worked with professional musicians and music projects over many years and is the director of Transform – Trondheim International Festival. Ordinarily she works as a medical doctor and has a PhD from the Moser Lab (Nobel Prize winner in medicine 2014), NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.
